Brendan Fraser Set for Furry Vengeance
Fraser will play a real estate developer whose new housing subdivision pushes far into a pristine part of the Oregon wilderness, pitting the developer against a band of angry critters.
Robert Simonds will produce with Keith Goldberg. Script was penned by Michael Carnes and Josh Gilbert, who wrote Mr. Woodcock together.
Production will begin early summer.

Watch him on Scrubs...he has the potential to do serious roles, he just needs to be given the chance...and I can TOTALLY picture him as a serial killer or homicide detective

Sorry, Gang, but I like Fraser's movies. I honestly cannot picture him doing "serious" movies. I can't picture him as a seriel killer or a homicide detective or a special forces retiree hiding out as a cook on a train or anything without having his brand of comedy. He must enjoy his roles otherwise I am sure he can find other roles.

killerman I seriously think that that is the funniest comment I have ever read from you. I fully agree. I would not be surprised to see him revisit another Encino Man. Ha, I mean Pauly Shore and Sean Astin are pretty much done. Right? I'm going to go and munchin' on some grindage buddyyyyy...

family films or not, he's still a good actor. Does it matter what he's in. I'm not a big fan of his but I do enjoy his films either if he's into family films or not.
At least he knows a good thing, instead of being a snob like some actors are.

Poor Fraser. He's constantly in these sh*tty movies. Crash wasn't all that great either. I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to have Encino Man 2 made.

As much as I think Brendan Fraser will do a good job in this film, I am with VIS, wish he would do something other than 'family flicks'.
