Bredan Fraser as Gung-Ho and the Rock as Shipwreck in G.I. Joe?

The G.I. Joe casting news continues to roll in, even though they are already filming. According to Latino Review, Brendan Fraser has already filmed his small role as Gung-Ho for the film. Apparently it is just a one-scene cameo that takes place at The Pit.

The site is also reporting that an offer has gone out to Dwayne The Rock Johnson to portray the Shipwreck character. While the offer has apparently gone out, Johnson has not given an answer either way at this time.

G.I. Joe is currently shooting and the film is slated for an August 7, 2009 release.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was released August 7th, 2009 and stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Byung-hun Lee, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce. The film is directed by Stephen Sommers.

    Incomb, I don't give a f*ck who you are, as long as that ugly face of yours is covered up, it's all good. Now what the f*ck are you talking about being confused? There's nothing wrong with this cast and nothing wrong with this movie. I've been waiting for a GI Joe movie since I was a kid and it's finally coming true! The cast might be a bit off and weird, but sometimes this is what a movie needs once and a while so it can work out.
    And just for the record straight, you must of had a lot of denials in your life cause there's nothing wrong with taking a drink once and a while. I on the other hand like to go out and socialize (without a Darth Vader costum on). And trust me, I don't need help in anyway and I'm proud to be Canadian! Have fun at your little pathetic Star Wars convention.

    Alright Brendan Fraser want's a role in G.I.JOE live action movie and his role will be Gung Ho so he'll be Destro's number one arch-enemy in this movie while the The Rock plays the role of Shipwreck so he'll play the Joe's number one sailor.
