Breck Eisner to Direct Escape from New York Remake
Eisner, who directed The Crazies remake earlier this year, will be directing from a script by Allan Loeb, which was said to be a hybrid of an origin story for the classic anti-hero Snake Plissken while also staying true to the story of John Carpenter's original 1981 film.
The original Escape From New York took place in a dystopian 1997 where all of Manhattan was turned into a prison reserved for the criminal elite and, when the current President's plane crashes on the island, Plissken was forced into undertaking a rescue mission.
Escape from New York is in development . The film is directed by Breck Eisner.

Why can't the just do a sequel with Kurt Russell If Harrison Ford, Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone can keep doing sequels to movies they did from the 80's why can't Kurt.
