Brand New W Clip

CNN has just posted a clip from the Oliver Stone biopic, W, which is set for release on October 17. Click below to see how Josh Brolin's George W. Bush first meets his future wife, Laura, played by Elizabeth Banks.

Whether you love him or hate him, there is no question that George W. Bush is one of the most controversial public figures in recent memory. In an unprecedented undertaking, acclaimed director Oliver Stone is bringing the life of our 43rd President to the big screen as only he can. W takes viewers through Bush's eventful life -- his struggles and triumphs, how he found both his wife and his faith, and of course the critical days leading up to Bush's decision to invade Iraq.

W stars Josh Brolin as George W. Bush, Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush, James Cromwell as George Herbert Walker Bush, Ellen Burstyn as Barbara Bush, Thandie Newton as Condoleezza Rice, Jeffrey Wright as Colin Powell, Scott Glenn as Donald Rumsfeld, and Ioan Gruffud as Tony Blair.

W. was released October 17th, 2008 and stars Josh Brolin, Colin Hanks, Toby Jones, Dennis Boutsikaris, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, Scott Glenn, Richard Dreyfuss. The film is directed by Oliver Stone.

Meh... And I am no fan of Bush. Stone is trying to force the brazen personality in this scene, Bush does seem like quite the rubbernecking Douche, while Laura comes off as desperate for a rich husband, regardless of herself. I'm almost positive Stone couldn't go as deep as he wanted with all the Bullsh*t that has happened. Once again, meh

wow. A lot of prejudice people... judging something before they even give it a chance. I wouldn't be surprised if it does well.

good God almighty....and you know it is "controversial" so it will get a whole ton o' media attention and then make a decent amount at the box office...my guess is that this movie will suck and not because it will be "controversial," but just because it will plain suck

I still think Oliver Stone has lost his marbles!

    I wouldn't waste a dime on this!

If the studios think they to change the release dates on 1/2 of the films from this year to next, then why not move this damn film to 2009 as well!??!
