Brand New The Wrestler Trailer!
The Wrestler centers on Randy "The Ram" Robinson, a 1980s-era star pro wrestler who has become a burnt-out shell of his former self. After he has a heart attack during a small-time match, a doctor tells him he could die if he fights again. In an effort to build a new life, Robinson takes a job at a deli, moves in with an aging stripper and tries to build a relationship with her son. But the prospect of a rematch with his old nemesis the Ayatollah proves too tempting to resist, even if it means risking his life.
The Wrestler was released December 17th, 2008 and stars Mickey Rourke, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, Mark Margolis, Todd Barry, Wass Stevens, Judah Friedlander, Ernest Miller. The film is directed by Darren Aronofsky.

This movie will be Amazing! I am looking forward to seeing this more than any other movie releasing in December, hope it opens wide Dec.17th.
Mickey Rourke is a great actor that sabotaged his career for a long time with drug addiction, boxing and taking bad movie roles because he took his talent for granted. The buzz surrounding this redemption movie has been building for a while and looks to be his signature role and deserved comeback. This is Rourke fulfilling his potential and appears to be the frontrunner for a Best Actor Oscar. Bravo!

I agree with David-DVD...he's got the Oscar all wrapped up...this film is gonna go down as one of the all-time greatest...I will definitely go see this, as I am a BIG wrestling fan anyways...I sure hope he gets it because he has put in some damn fine work over the years...he deserves it...

The song is "Bruce Springsteen - The Wrestler" it was done specifically for this movie, which is why it fits so perfectly. I think Mickey deserves all this Oscar talk he's been getting for this movie. Whether he wins or not we'll have to wait and see but after the work he's put in this business for the academy to finally notice must feel pretty damn good to him. Nothing like a good comeback story.
