I love Star Trek and I think J.J. Abrams is very talented, but I don't know, there's just something about this movie that isn't sitting right with me. I have a bad feeling that it's going to be very dissapointing.

A "young and fresh" new cast portraying our favorite characters? That's just not in the spirit of Star Trek.

Besides, when you've got the co-writers of total piece of sh*t movies like "Transformers" and "The Legend of Zorro", that's never a good sign.

And why are welders making the Enterprise? Isn't this sapose to be the 23rd century? And we're still using welders? And why aren't they in space? How do they expect to get a giant spaceship like that up there? I guess I'm just looking too much into it.

    i agree with maxrepooc.
i always imagined big starships like this being built off the side of a space station. getting it into space after its built would be very difficult, unless they have some sort of anti-gravity technology, which im sure they probably do (in the storyline).

anyway what i originally came in here to say was that i had zero interest in this movie until i saw the trailer before cloverfield. its a great trailer and really got me excited about star trek for the first time in over a decade.
