In the fifth installment of the "Saw" franchise, Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.
Saw V was released October 24th, 2008 and stars Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Scott Patterson, Betsy Russell, Julie Benz, Meagan Good, Mark Rolston, Carlo Rota. The film is directed by David Hackl.

Actually, VIS, with this series, the first was NOT the best. In fact, the first one was my least favorite, but I loved them all. They're awesome.

I'm not trying to start something here, this is just a theory: About 30 years ago, the first friday the 13th, nightmare on elm street, and halloween were released. Each of those were followed by what? 5? 7 sequels? About 30 years later, those series as a whole have become classics, even the sequels. What I'm getting at here is that maybe, just maybe, 20-30 years from now, these films will be classics, especially if they go with thier plan and stop at six movies. We're saying "too many sequels" now, but 20 years from now, when the next set of grisly, slasher/torture horror movies are making thier way into theaters, people will be wondering "remember the saw franchise?" Maybe they want this to be the next classic horror franchise, because, like the horror films I mentioned, the first one is arguably the best. Just something to think about
