Written and directed by James Wong, the action adventure stars Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson. The film opens in theaters on April 10.
Dragonball is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama; the work was also turned into a Japanese anime series that played all over the world. It tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys. Justin Chatwin is starring as the hero Goku, while James Marsters will play the villain Piccolo in the sci-fi adventure.
Dragonball Evolution was released April 10th, 2009 and stars Justin Chatwin, Chow Yun-Fat, Emmy Rossum, Jamie Chung, James Marsters, Joon Park, Eriko Tamura, Randall Duk Kim. The film is directed by James Wong.

Oh, and one more thing, we still have Piccolo's second form to look forward to. In the show, he died and came back to life later. Piccolo could become green then, you know what I mean? Although they had better come up with a good reason for why he wasn't green in the first place. >:-(

I kinda agree with Transformers89. Sure, these pics aren't looking that great so far. And I gotta admit, I'm disappointed with how they made Piccolo. BUT we do need to see it anyway, or at least rent it. Because you really can't judge a book by it's cover. The pics look like crap, but who knows? The movie could be really cool. You know what I mean?
But yeah, I agree with Nyfresh. You can't compare Dragonball with Transformers. That's like comparing Star Wars to The Lord of The Rings. They're too far apart from eachother. Sorry, Transformers89. :-)
But yeah, even though the pics have been unimpressive so far, I'm still gonna see this so I can rate it properly. ;-)

dragonball mixed oriental mysticism with a martial tone that I personally loved...does this goku looks like a trained martial artist??... i don't think so...all the strenght and fisicallity of the characters is gone...and that piccolo really looks like a mix of star trek and a creppy horror movie...

Piccolo looks like complete sh*t. This movie is already looking like its gonna suck. I don't know how some directors are allowed to make movies. He's taking something that an instant money maker and turning it into sh*t. Everything I have seen so far is horrible and has little connection to the Dragonball universe.

I am a big fan of this cartoon and I think some fans are over reacting because the movie doesn't like the cartoon at all. This is suppose to be an adaption, not a copy. I am pleased with this pictures and I think this movie might have a potential to be great. The same s*** happen to Transformers and look how it turn out at the end.
