Brand New Dragonball Evolution Trailer!

20th Century Fox has released the full-length domestic trailer for Dragonball Evolution, which premieres in theaters April 8th. Check out the trailer below.

Written and directed by James Wong, the manga adaptation stars Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle and Ernie Hudson.

Based on manga by Akira Toriyama, Dragonball Evolution also turned into a Japanese anime series, and tells the story of an alien sent to destroy Earth, who has a change of heart and decides to join the humans in their fight against various aliens and bad guys. Justin Chatwin is starring as the hero Goku, while James Marsters will play the villain Piccolo in the sci-fi adventure.

Dragonball Evolution was released April 10th, 2009 and stars Justin Chatwin, Chow Yun-Fat, Emmy Rossum, Jamie Chung, James Marsters, Joon Park, Eriko Tamura, Randall Duk Kim. The film is directed by James Wong.

    You want to know why they call it "Dragonball Evulution"? Because they knew while making the film and looking at the outcome..that it was NOT at all loyal to the cartoon series..so they probably said, "Well you know what..I think we should change the title to 'Evolution' because there's no way loyal fans are going to like the way it LOOKS." So they changed the f*ckin title because they even know it looks CRAPPY! :)

    JR your dreams of a great Dragonball film aint gone yet. I'm writing my own which will stick to the anime and of damn course have Vegeta.
    I have in my head this epic fight scene between Vegeta & Goku (the inspiration for the scene is the final battle between Neo & Agent Smith in Matrix Revolutions, some where along that line).

    Rare Blood Type, there are studios in this world that do things just for the money, Fox being one of them. They probably only thought that this movie would make big bucks and be a success because Transformers was such a success in the box office.
    I would like to know as well why Akira Toriyama didn't have any say in ths movie as well.

    SS4 Vegeta if you knew anything about the Dragonball Franchise and even consider yourself a fan of the franchise, your'd know the original name proposed for Dragonball Z was Dragonball Evolution.

    Hmmmmm, this still looks bad.
    I see the similarities to the show, but the casting is weak and so is the storyline.
    I'm pissed off there is no Vegeta.

    But then again i'm writing my own one, i've already gathered like 300 pages of research and been reading and evaluating multiple versions of 'Journey To The West.'

    i just hopes this makes enough money to make a decent DB movie or a sweet DBZ sequel, cause honestly for the most part when i think of Dragonball I think of DBZ and the sayian saga, the cell games etc. Please make a DBZ movie someday

    I do not get offended when people refer to things like this as being gay. Ha. I have a sense of humor and I refer to things like this as "gay" as well. Because that is exactly what this is. I cannot even believe that they are finally releasing it though. I know it suffered set backs and release shifts. And I do not think it will be a huge success because it is not being released in the summer. I believe it is being released in April. The dumping grounds for films right before the summer season starts with Wolverine.
