I really don't have much faith in this, but if it turns out great then so be it. I was looking on another site I go to and it said that this film was going to be in 3D. Not sure if it's true or not but lets wait and see.

Nice...I'm so amped to see this (actually cool) reboot of Nightmare on Elm Street!!!

    > Brian - most hollywood actors are short, but, that vertically challenged shortfall doesn't mitigate the level of performance on screen (see Michael Keaton in the first two Tim Burton Batman movies, Robert Redford movies, Mel Gibson, Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Tobey McGuire in first 2 Spiderman movies, Tom Cruise's 80s movies, Robert Duvall, Sylvester Stallone (Oscar for best picture/also wrote Rocky), etc...

Jackie Earle Haley's (Rorschach / Oscar nominated for a previous role) short ass will rock this Nightmare reboot...hopefully, the script & director will match his talents.

Man they should have hired me to do the poster. It looks as though they had a make a nightmare poster contest. Whats up with the tag line, "he knows where you sleep" lol Like that even matters when the dude can take you out anywhere as long as you fall asleep The tag line should have been the scary line from the freddy song "never sleep again" or "Don't fall asleep." Why is he in a hallway It would have been better if they would have used the boiler room background to make it look as though the character is entering his domain. They should have hired the people that did the Jason and Leatherface to do the poster. Man they should have done something like the original movie lol Anyways I was just bored and wanted to b!@ch about something lol

you can't base everything on the original film, things are gonna be different, I think he's gonna make the new Freddy really sick, you don't want anything to be the exact same as it was in the original. If you've seen the original Psycho and then watched the remake of it, the movie is exactly and I mean exactly the same as the original film, we need to see things that are new including Freddy, give Jackie Earle Haley a chance he might surprise you

I have to say I pretty much agree with everything said to this point. The poster rocks. The film? Eh... we'll see...

  16. The Narrator: The Better Man

I agree it needs to go back to the basics poster. Because this does look a bit like crappy photoshop. But still the idea of it is cool. Just wish the quality was better.

@dark-env not kidding you. Jackie is a great actor, but TOTALLY wrong for this role... physical appearance is a HUGE aspect of Freddy. Great actor or not, Jackie is too damn short...and it shows. Every actress he's up against in the movie TOWERS over him! Looks at all the media here at movieweb.... he looks like a 12 year old dressed up like Freddy for Halloween. It's a joke. If you were ever going to remake Elm Street, why would you want it to look like a Leprechaun movie?

@ Brian are you kidding me? I love the casting choice for Freddy, Jackie Earle Haley is awesome, he's one of the only reasons I'm looking forward to this film, granted he's shorter but who cares, I think he'll do good as the new Freddy, more terrifying to me

  20. Brian

I do like the fire/water feel of the whole thing. The chick just looks like she could kick the sh*t out of that 12 year old Freddy though. He's tiny!!! God they casted so wrong...
