Bradley Whitford is set to lighten things up a bit with his new project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Whitford has signed on for the lead in Off Duty

Romany Malco has secured the second lead in the series, which revolves around an odd partnership of an aging legendary cop past his prime (Whitford) and his new partner (Malco), a young cop on the rise. The series will focus on the new partnership and how Whitford affects the life of Malco at work and off the clock.

Jason Mantzoukas wrote the pilot and will executive produce alongside Scot Armstrong and Ravi Nandan. Whitford is best known for his dramatic turns in The West Wing and NBC's short-lived Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
