According to "Entertainment Weekly Magazine" dated Apr 13, 2012 Issue #1202 "Salmon Fishing In The Yemen" if I recall was #7 on the "Top 10 Box Office" list for that week.
"Titanic" 3D retread collected $4.4 million Wednesday including midnights for a domestic c*me of $4.7 million. That includes the pic's evening previews Tuesday night. The film's mid-week start marks an OK start, which is expected to translate into a five-day take at around $30 million.....
@thedude1 Hmmmm, well i know alot of people that are seeing it throughout the Easter Weekend, so i say give it until the weekend and then we shall see the results...
Remember, how Titanic became the biggest grossing movie in history, it started slow and built up :)
@jayaottley That is highly unlikely to happen. Deadline.com is reporting Hunger Games made 12 to 14 million Friday with American Reunion making 8 to 10 million and Titanic 3D coming in third.
I see Titanic 3D reigning in the box office this weekend... It may be a decade old but its still an amazing film with or without the 3D and plus lets not forget we are arriving to the 100th anniversary of the Titanic, so it makes it even more memorable and special for people to capture the magic of Cameron Epic once agan
..oooooh Lord..."The Hunger Games" was so Over-Rated!!!
This weekend is all about: "Titanic 3D"....!!! There's a whole new generation of kids that this will be the 1st time they will be able to see it on the big screen!!
I'm not sure if Hunger Games can rule another weekend, but it is possible. Titanic might actually tie American Reunion.
BTW, after watching Titanic for about 10 years on DVD, TV, even in HD in a 55" screen, seeing it in the big screen for the first time was a completely new experience. I strongly believe movies should be re-released every 10 or 15 years to give every generation a chance to experience them the way they were meant to be seen. NOTHING compares to watching a movie in theaters.
@dan1@SpaceCowboy I thought Titanic would do really well, too. But Wednesday's and Thursday's numbers have been super soft. It probably won't crack much higher than 20 mil.
I also think American Reunion will round out at about $25. It's kinda like Scream 4. Not really much enthusiasm for it.

what was also very cool to read .... "21 Jump Street" crossed the $100 million mark on Friday!
For some reason I really liked "21 Jump". It was better than I expected or would have 1st gave credit for.
My Over-all rating: B-
I hated "the Lorax"; So far, that film is at the top of my: "Worst Films 2012" list!

Glad Hunger Games seems to have the best chance to take the weekend. American Reunion was quite bad. Not worth seeing at all.

At this point I wouldn't say it's up there because it's a good movie, but because it has sh*t competition. Go Games!
