f*ck paranormal activity i say critics got their heads so far up there ass that they don't know a good movie when they see it like THE THING for instance!!
PA3 is predicted anywhere between 45 and 55 million right now. But considering it made over 25 million on Friday I think it will fall just short of 50 million since these movies are so heavily front loaded.
@ghostman Well $65 won't happen.. I mean the last PA movie made almost exactly 50% of its weekend on Friday. If this one follows that pattern, we look at $50-$55mil. And this is probably even more front-loaded than the last.
@moviegeek I wouldn't be surprised if it earned 65 million, but I think it be around 45 million. As long as they keep making money, they'll keep making more of them.
I have no interest in "Paranormal Activity 3" ...I rented "PA 2" and laughed my ass off! .!.
"The Three Musketeers" ...again doesn't interest me, I will wait for late night cable...give it 3-4 months it will be on HBO or something!.
"Real Steel" was a C+ ....Very Disney!
"The Thing" ...Boring!! D- ...Thank God I didn't pay for it, I used gift certificates instead!
"50/50" ...C- ...The film needed some work....
"Texas Killing Fields" opens this weekend W./Sam Worthington ..I'm seeing that! Reviews not so good, but the story does sound interesting and a good cast.
Next weekend we have: "Anonymous", "Puss in Boots" and "The Rum Diary"...finally something worth spending the movie dollar on!
Not gunna lie, got to see a free screening of PA3 at 10:30pm (the night it came out, so...I saw it an hour-and-a-half before the midnight premiere) and it was definitely a freaky movie. Yeah, it does quite a few jump scares, but... it's the suspense of a lot of things that really gets you going.
It definitely does deserve it. In it's third outing it's still as suspenseful as ever creating real tension and suspense. Not to mention it's certified fresh. Midnight showing was packed and the movie exceeded expectations.
Good predictions for PA3. But 3 musketeers will be lucky to get $12mil. Johnny English won't pass $6 or $7. I'm guessing $45 for PA3, but it could get as high as $50 or as low as $35.

@corey Haven't seen it yet, but did it end with a possibility of having a fourth one? Or was it so good, that you want another one?

PA3 pulled in $26 million on Friday alone. It's going to challenge Jackass 3D's $50 million October record.
@bawnian-dexeus sorry bro, you're getting a fourth one :P

the top movies here do not impress me. Paranormal and Musketeers look garbage.

Another crappy Things Being Pulled by Strings movie. Same stuff and not scary at all unless really loud noises make you jump.

Sad thing is, Paranormal Activity probably will get higher than the estimated amount. Too bad it doesn't deserve it!
