@johnnyblazetb82 - Idk, for some reason i remeber being bored as hell by movies that year. And yes The Dark Knight & Iron Man are good, but two movies doesn't really make up for a total bad movie summer.
@Number1Wolverine 2006? are you forgetting the year we got Dark knight AND Iron man the same year??? that for me was the last great summer movie season...
"Horrible Bosses" FYI: In the first day of release the film grossed $9.9 million, giving it the #2 opening-gross for an original R-rated comedy in Summer 2011, behind Bad Teacher ($12.2 million).
Horrible Bosses" was a surprising comedy that dose rival "Bridesmaids".!
@thedude-abides I think it's because MW does it the same way as RottenTomatoes, meaning all that number counts is the percentage of users who gave the film a positive review. Everyone could have rated it 3/5, and since that's considered positive it would get a 100% score. RT at least has the average score in a separate place, which is usually a far more accurate indication of what people thought of the movie. MW has this too, but you have to go to the actual page for the movie if you want to see it (It's 4.4/5 on MW, compared to 2.4/5 on RT, so the public consensus clearly skews higher than its critical counterpart.)
i wish everyone would stop talking sh*t about transformers 3! we everyone has been asking for a dark transformers movie... we finally get one and every counties to bitch about it i am really getting sick of stupid people!
@Number1Wolverine couldnt be more right with this statement..........Transformers was OK, way too many problems than good things with TF3 but its a blockbuster meant to entertain and it did an ok job...HP7 pt 2 should shine brightest next week
it was a dull weekend glad Dark of the Moon is doing really well only a few flicks left then the summer gets worn out as always I want to own everything now
Every year since 2006 i keep thinking the next summer is going to be better then the last, and every year each summer gets worse. What the hell happened to summer blockbusters?
Okay, so, can anyone answer this for me? I think the reason the MW ratings are so high is because the system doesn't calculate user ratings properly. MW operates on the 5-star ratings system, therefore every half star should account for 10% give or take, correct?
After rating some of the older movies I've seen in which I've been the only person on MW to have rated, I've noticed some irregularities in the MW score. After giving one film a 3.0 star rating, the MW score came back at 100%. Same thing with a 3.5 or a 4.0. Does anyone know anything about this?
