@ejk1 I have to say that maybe or the can say that the blast from the control pillar (Sentinel did say that the Control Pillar is powered by the entire energon) brought nearly all the dead cybertronians back to life and they follow the destress signal to earth
There will be a fourth Transformer film. I wonder about the next Batman film, if that makes a lot of money the studio will somehow convince Nolan to come back.
im pretty sure coming dvd/bluray time, alot of these non-worthy scenes will b deleted, or placed under "deleted scene" i really have no idea why bay would even include them in the actal theater film, maybe he ran out of ideas, who knows!, out of all the parts id cutt out, i would prob leave a good 25mins of deleted crap. that is not related to wat the story was about out. and why do they all end with sam making out w his chick(s)?! why not put sumthing like Optimus Prime along w the others bots flying into space or sumthing. saying.. ""WE ARE HERE AND WE ARE COMING".. follow by..DIRECTED BY MICHEAL BAY!
I think i speak for myself when i say this movie SUCKED in alot of levels. i had hi-hopes going in, hoping it would b an all star hit. beating the 2nd film by alot but i was wrong., this1 made part2 seem like a blockbuster sequel.. For those of you who wont admit it, or dont want to. (i will)...i think, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, was bad in alot of ways! it had way to many things going on at the same time, To many plot-holes, unanswered scenes/qestions, and way to many "extras" that took up way to much of the film. example: the chinese-guy scene was stupid as hell. un-funny, and blah. The boss scene was just as dumb as any "try to laugh jokes" that was thrown at us, instead of taking it serious, bay onces again threw in sum funny moments in which should have been serious or better placed! Moving on.. The battle scenes took way to long i think that sh*t lasted a good 35-40mins, and all this time the location seems to be empty, w very lil to/no people around, nor did we see any1 in the falling building other than the "cast" (sams' parents were never seen or heard of again) For alot of people the fighting part would b wat made this film good right? well not in my book. i say part2 did its best with directions compared to the way this film went. Way to many bots, u lose track of whos fighting who, who got hurt/killed. The lady w glasses annoyed the hell out of me, lol. not to mentioned John Turturro's role. lol So i give this movie a 2 out of 5, or a 4 out of 10. only because of the fuked up story/direction. the f/x were great no doubt!, rosie did her best, (god bless her), but whoever was holding the camera, wouldnt take his eyes off her, at times even when she wasnt meant to say anything, lol So pls dont hate me for such a bad review but sumbody had to do it, lol
@Monkey-iron nameless decepticons do not make a movie. All of the known entities are dead. They need to let this series take a rest for about ten years, and then make another run, with some character development and intricate plots.
Nothing says Fourth of July like giant robots beating the crap out of each other and huge explosions to rock your weekend! Can't wait to buy the blu-ray trilogy :)
successful 4th of July weekend had my family reunion, saw the movie and the fireworks afterwards I loved the movie, one of the best Ive ever seen in my whole life more robots, more action and better CGI Im all for #4 if they make it but the ending really did seem abrupt
@narrator Hey man, sorry it took me a few hours to get back to you. Was heading into work, was first on patrol tonight, and it's been one of those nights so far where if something can go wrong, it will. Yeah, one of 'those' days...
Anyways, I'm glad you asked for my thoughts. Firstly, I feel that the way DoTM ended, *spoiler* with Megatron, Sentinel, and Cybertron biting the dust via our Autobots and Sam *end spoiler*, Bay's series/interpretation is over with. That story is told, Optimus, Bee, and the remaining other Autobots would live out the rest of their existence on Earth, presumably continuing helping our government stop terrorism and evil, but no longer dealing with Decepticon threats, and therefore no need for a 4th installment that continues that story. It's done.
Now, having said that, let's let the Transformers franchise/property stew for a bit. They have that new cartoon series playing, and people could use a breather. Then, as previously discussed, maybe have either Joss Whedon or J.J. Abrams look at beginning a new series about 5-6 years down the road from now. Since we jumped right into the story with the first Bay film on Earth, and ran from that point, maybe in this outing, we take it back to Cybertron for the entirety of the first film. We're already close to or at a point where a talented film maker can create entire worlds ala Pandora, and the glimpse of Cybertron we saw at the beginning of DoTM, with current technology. I firmly believe that enough characteristics and, what's the word? Humanity? could be injected into the robots to carry the film without humans whatsoever. At least for the initial first film of a new series. People will particularly buy into this concept once Avatar 2 and 3 come out 2014 and 2015, which I'm sure will shake up the movie making world yet again, as that is how Cameron rolls. In fact, I wouldn't be against him himself taking a crack at Transformers, so long as he hired a good writer, and only directed.
Anyways, those are my thoughts. Sorry if it sounds like I just rehashed what you or others have already said. Feel free to expand, criticise, etc. on them.
hey wait.....who the hell said this was a KIDS movie? SHORTS, is a kids movie. LILO AND STITCH is a kids movie. this is a sci-fi action thriller. how the hell do you get "kids movie" from any of that? these films were never meant to be kids movies. they are meant to be action filled war stories. if they had gone the whole kids movie route with these movies, the fans would really hate them. and the eliteists would have jumped off a building. (though that last part isn't necessarily a bad thing)
@ the narrator thats exactly what i was thinking, about iron hide dying, i was practiclly screaming "nnnoooooo" when he got blasted lol. i did think the ending was a bit of a buzzkill though
Critics should know what they're getting into when they see a Michael Bay film. It's not like every movie Bay makes is going to be Oscar worthy, but his films are for pure summer enjoyment, which is why I think all of his films are great, because i love watching them for entertainment. Transformers is 'critic proof' no matter how bad u trash it, ppl are still going to see it :)
@dan1, ahaha. Seems like a sound compromise to me. Maybe next time. Speaking of which, from a somewhat satisfied mans perspective, what direction would you take the 'bots's adventures in the future? As me and Insert are discussing in his forum, there's plenty of directions to take this franchise. Now that it's on its way to being a decent film series, and the reigns are possibly going to be handed over to a new talent, now is the time to make changes for the better of the franchise,. Thoughts?
