So disappointed that John Carter is not doing better at the box-office. I knew it was never going to do well but I still expected better than that, and considering the film turned out as good as it did, I especially expected it to have better legs. Such a good movie, it really, really sucks we won't be seeing a franchise.
@2movieguys Agree with you on The Hunger Games. Thought is was an okay movie but nothing worth all the hype.
And I am wondering what you think of Lockout. I'm excited for it since it has that Fortress feel to it and Guy Pearce is in it who always makes good movies. But it doesn't seem to be getting much attention at all.
As far as "John Carter" is concerned Disney revealed that it estimated the film would lose as much as $200 million in their second fiscal quarter ending March 31. As a result, media reports began to refer to the film as a box office bomb.

John Carter may not do well at the box office, but the film is still in the top 10 in the box office.

@kashmanthillet It will for sure. Cabin in the Woods will be the biggest of the new releases and that probably won't break 20 million dollars.

Not a great showing for Titanic. Too bad, considering how good the 3D conversion is, according to critics.

Thank God Hunger and American Reunion beat out the money grab from James Cameron known as Titanic 3D.
