    I don't about ya but I'm tired of all these pg-13 movies, cuz kids always there for those, I believe that is one of the reasons hangover made that much, its R rated and guarantee funny.

    @superman81 - some estimates I read were as high as 130+ for the four days. I was talking about the four day total. Anything after that is gravy :P

    i can't believe an R-rated comedy defeated DreamWorks! I was hoping that Kung Fu Panda 2 will win (due 2 positive reviews, being an animated film, kid-friendly, PG) but I guess adults rule 4 this week of the summer, oh well looking 4ward to X-Men 1st & Green Lantern

    @diaigma how can you say it didn't make as much as it was estimated? They estimated 102 million for the holiday weekend and it took in over 105 million not including the Thursday showing which has the movie at almost 140 million. And @jonspidey07 I'm not sure what mistakes ur talking about. Seems like Mr. Phillips didn't make any mistakes to me. Maybe he followed the same formula as the first but what harm did that cause? His movie tripled Hangover 1 opening weekend and it crushed a kids movie on a holiday weekend.

    betted more on Kung Fu Panda 2 sweeping the box office holiday weekend
    its a shame Hangover 2's reviews tanked, I was looking forward to it
    but Memorial Day today was good to see a fun sequel thats actually worth it
    heres hoping for Part 3
    if Hangover III is happening Todd Phillips better learn from his mistakes

    Well, Hangover didn't make as much as estimated, but that's still an incredible opening. Still can't believe it's that popular. As for Panda, I have a feeling that families were waiting for Memorial Day itself to see it. I only have the "sold out" showings to go by, when I took my own family to it today. What a weekend! :P

    I loved Hangover 2, u can tell that a lot of people wanted to see it flop. I'm glad it broke records and even though it was copied from the first, it blew the first out of the water. It was for sure not overrated....clap clap clap!!! So childish!!! I'm glad to see pirates is almost at 700 million. Should reach 1 billion before its run is done. And I'm gonna be looking forward to xmen first class. I'm sure it will own the weekend....but for now I'm gonna soak up hangover 2 success.

    I love the characters, even though this sequel was a direct paralell of the first, it still made me laugh through out so at least I cant say I wasnt entertained, good to see it did well, although it looks like Kung Fu Panda got overshadowed, and it was actually a very well done sequel.
