@corey -- No, I meant the other way around; the NEW Texas Chainsaw made the PREVIOUS installments seem decent. They were bad, but tolerable; but the newest installment, not so much.
For the first time, in a very long time, I strongly agree with you(your last statement, of course). If I really, with all my heart, felt the newest movie was superior; please find me, and kick me in the balls. By any means necessary.
Yeah, I can see how I might've given that 'fact' notion. But, I can't help it. So, forgive me.
And I don't mean to insult you or pick a fight when I said that you always consider your opinion to be facts. Nothing personal, just something I've noticed about you.
@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx You're insane if you think this new Chainsaw was better than the 2003 version, but opinions are opinions, even though you always consider your opinion to be fact. The 2003 film was grittier, bloodier, and just overall a better slasher film. The original Chainsaw, of course, is the best, but speaking of any of the films after that, the 2003 was the best and many would agree with me. This new one is the worst, by far. Terrible story, laughable acting, and no original or memorable death scenes.
@corey -- Because it's true? I haven't seen the original, so I can't comment on the franchise as a whole. But, if what you say is true, then this it's one of the worst franchises of all-time. The 2003 remake(?) f*cking sucked.
@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx How could you say this new Texas Chainsaw made the more recent ones seem decent? The 2003 version is the best Chainsaw of them all.
@cryptkeeper And that was a huge mistake. How in God's name thought that Ashley Tisdale was funny for a Scary Movie sequel? Her acting is unbelievably atrocious that it's a mystery on how much roles she is getting nowadays. At least Anna Ferris had charm that helped me sit through Scary Movie 4 but Ashley Tisdale? No way jose! I'm bailing from that uninteresting attention-whor*.
@NeonKazma hahaha yea, especially since Sheen even references his own f*ck ups. Pretty sad if they have to resort to that. Also they're replacing Farris with Ashley Tisdale; and while the movies got pretty lame, Farris was still slightly entertaining. Now she's gone so I might not even see part 5 on DVD. haha
@cryptkeeper Oh yeah Scary Movie 5... Yeah no. I gave up on those movies and there only making another one just for the sake of Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan to win more money to escape their complicated problems in their lives. A Haunted House looks better than Scary Movie 5 but not by a long shot.
@NeonKazma What it was?! Wow I did not know that. I've never even seen Disaster Movie. Anyhow. I did not know that about Gangster Squad. While I think it looks good, it's not my type of movie. I can never get into the mobster sub genre. But hey, I know my buddy is pumped for it, so maybe I'll end up seeing it with him. haha A Haunted House looks better than Scary Movie 5, I'll give it that.
@the Cryptkeeper Sadly yes. Since Gangster Squad had to do re-shoots and extre money money was added in the budget, I don't think it will recover that well. Worst is that I found a lot of people excited for A Haunted House rather than Gangster Squad since audiences love this kinds of bad spoofs. Gangster Squad will bomb badly like Scott-Pilgrim became a box-office bomb and was defeated by DIsaster Movie. How insane is that!?
@the cryptkeeper True dat. Speaking of Texas Chainsaw 3D, I'm having a bad feeling that A Haunted House will be number 1 at the box-office next week. It may even top off Gangster Squad.
@corey W. That's a shame too. Too bad I won't see it in theaters since it won't be released in PR (where I live). At least I'm glad that you enjoyed the film.
@corey Texas Chainsaw was bad even for the incredibly low standards of a horror movie. Even the 3D was terrible which is usually the saving grace for these type of movies.

@dan1 -- True, but if you have nothing better to do, even the worst pictures seem tolerable. Can't knock it 'til you try it.

@ROFLitschristian -- You must really love the character, because the latest movie was bad enough to discard the character as a whole.
