@felipe-11 agree, funny as hell and there was barely any silence in the theatre due to laughter... i have yet to see a film that made this many adults cry that were not sad... kudos to macfarlane... loved every minute of it... for those that think this is "wasting your money" probably would not get it anyhow.

Glad Ted won. Haven't seen it yet (broke), but my friends that have tell me it was great.

Nice! I feel bad for People Like Us though. Guess it's more of a rental-type. I liked it a lot.

I'm just glad a Tyler Perry movie isn't #1 again.

Where do all these Tyler Perry movies keep coming from? I literally never hear about them until box office reports.

The weekend predictions for Ted obviously didn't foresee the parents that took their 10 year-olds to see this (and had to walk out after 15 minutes). That definitely gave it a little boost.

Anyway, Ted was HILARIOUS, pure MacFarlane genius, glad it took the top.

Definitely didn't see that coming. My theater was all Mike and no Ted. Either way, congrats to both... even Mike, I guess.

Was not interested in any of the new movies this weekend. I'll just save my money and go see The Amazing Spider Man on Tuesday.

Wow!!! Hollywood should learn a great lesson from this which is R rated films can break big at the box office. So studios need to stop being cowards and quit making every single film family friendly, because at the end of the day it is adults who decides the big decisions when it comes to movies.

I'm happy for Ted, GI Joe backing out was the best thing for this movie. It deserves what it got and I only wish Brave had taken 2ND from Magic Mike.
