@ejk1-i didnt say that the movie wasn't going to make any money just i think its not going to make the kind of money that transformers dark of the moon did. the studios were hoping that cap would make that but because of the downloading and bootlegging they will not get as much money as it should. i like the story of captain america just dont see it being a big 300 or 500 million dollar hit. just my opinion

@combatmadness360 True but I never said go out and see Cowboys and Aliens either. With the way the economy is nowadays you shouldn't just go out to the theater because you can you should go because there is something good playing.

@gina39 Um, Cap already has over 116 million domestic. It doing just fine.

This is yet another reason why a lot of people are stupid. They would spend money on a terrible movie like The Smurfs.

@CelluloidDreams i agree with you "C&A" didn't deliver at all, on the other hand "Crazy, Stupid,Love" was 10x better.

Also this weekend, the "Harry Potter" finale became the first of the franchise's eight movies to top $1 billion at the box office worldwide

"Cowboys & Aliens" and "The Smurfs" ..TIE!!! Rally ...I guess people did waste their movie dollar this weekend!
I read that "Cowboys" performed about as well on its first weekend as "Super 8," one of the only other movies to be released this summer with a largely original concept.

I saw "Cowboys & Aliens" and "Crazy Stupid Love"!
I wasn't that impressed with "Cowboys & Aliens ...found it more hype than anything elese... "Cowboys & Aliens" started to get drawl, and lag towards the end...I will have admit their were at least 2 parts that my eyes started to close

Unbelievable! I never would've thought that both Cowboys & Aliens and The Smurfs would tie for number 1! At least HP made a billion worldwide and has become the highest earning film in the series with 320mil est :)

@kingbrady Do they need to be familiar with them in order to want to see the movie? Your argument makes no sense. It's little blue cartoon people aimed at their audience...they don't need to know whether they're Smurfs or not. "Mommy, daddy, I wanna see that movie!"
