I went to see Contraband with serious reservations about money being flushed, but I actually had a really good time. It was a decent movie.

Nice. Contraband was fun. Can't wait to see Beauty. It was released the year I was born so watching it on the big screen for the first time will be good

@shuabert I think The Lion King, Aladdin would be in my top, but then again there's quite a few Disney classics I haven't seen... I hope they re-release Aladdin!
I saw Contraband on Friday, pretty solid action film to kick off the year. Nothing outstanding, but definitely worth the ticket.

I have a 3-day weekend....so today I went to see the new Lars von Trier film: 'Melancholia'...! My Rating_ B-
Tomorrow: 'Contraband' or 'Joyful Noise'! Nothing looked good this weekend that opened!
January 20 is "Haywire" and "Red Tails"...January 27 is "The Grey"!

Beauty & The Beast is the greatest animated Disney film. Ever. First and only animated Disney film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. Up is the only other animated film to be nominated, but remember that in the year Up garnered the nom, the Academy went from five to ten nominees.

Sleeping Beauty and Lion King would both probably make my top five.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx True. I would actually give Fantasia the edge over Beauty. But I think this is by far the best of the Princess movies.

@shuabert @moviegeek -- To each his own. If we're not including Pixar, I personally thought 'The Lion King' might be the best Disney flick, ever. I don't think I could call out just one "Disney flick", because there's way too many great ones, or at least too many that bring back great memories of childhood.

@shuabert Better than Sleeping Beauty?

@shuabert Agreed. Best Disney film ever. On the good side of things, Beauty should close the gap significantly on Monday where family films do better because of the holiday.
Surprised to see Contraband doing so well, but it's not a horrible-looking film (*cough* The Devil Inside) so I'm not upset :P

@thedude-abides How dare you?! B&tB deserves every day to be #1, always and forever!
