@daveactor7 - glad you liked it, considering Lasseter lied to us all. This "hate" (I prefer "distaste") you speak of spreads beyond our MW corner, so you know :P
@moviegeek @dan1 - just saying what I've known all along. This didn't even keep up with inflation or 3D, like @moviegeek said. Less sales than the first? Nice! ;)
Overseas wasn't that impressive either. So much for "international appeal" :P
@thedude1 - it'll be insane, but not sure it'll be that high. We'll see, though.
What does everyone think Transformers: Dark of the Moon will do this week and weekend? I believe it has a good chance to break the record held by The Dark Knight for most money in a week(250 million dollars).
Well considering that the original Cars pulled in $60 million when it opened without the 3D or the inflated cost of ticket prices today, $68 million isn't all that impressive for a sequel. I love how @diaigma has recruited quite the troupe of haters for this movie ;)
if we do get Cars 3 Brad Bird and John Lasseter better turn themseleves around seriously, I cannot believe PIXAR hit a speed bump in their line of entry of films those little kids will make the budget back on this one
shame too about Green Lantern; guess we wont ever see a sequel
I love looking at the RT ratings compared to that of movieweb's. Aside from X-Men and Bridesmaids having ridiculously high RT ratings (neither of which I am sure is better than Super 8 and it's humble 83%), it's interesting to see how high the MW users ratings are in comparison. Makes me feel good to know I'm not the only one critical of bad movies :P
cause if they go with the idea they were hinting at the end with the Yellow Ring then it be great, but like i say alot of work to be done before anything happens
@dr-carter yea well hopefully they learn from this one and re think EVERYTHING.... Cause if and thats a big IF they work hard on STORY then we can get a good sequel(s)
