Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day Will Happen!

Troy Duffy had a very good St. Patrick's Day and he wanted to share it with the Internet. The writer/director of the cult classic The Boondock Saints posted a new video on YouTube confirming that a sequel, The Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day, will finally happen after years of speculation. He says that orignal stars Sean Patrick Flannery, Norman Reedus and Billy Connolly are all back, however he didn't mention Willem Dafoe. Click below to watch this new video.


The Boondock Saints was given a theatrical release in 2000 to very little fanfare, but the film exploded onto the DVD scene and soon became a cult classic. Duffy himself has been somewhat of a cult figure, with his tale of quick success and failure that was turned into the documentary Overnight in 2004.

We'll keep you posted with more info on The Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day as soon as we get more information.

Boondock Saints was released January 21st, 2000 and stars Willem Dafoe, Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus, David Della Rocco, Billy Connolly, David Ferry, Brian Mahoney, Bob Marley. The film is directed by Troy Duffy.

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day was released October 30th, 2009 and stars Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus, Billy Connolly, Clifton Collins Jr., Julie Benz, Bob Marley, Brian Mahoney, David Ferry. The film is directed by Troy Duffy.

    this was my second favorite movie of the year. im still trying to figure out if it was better than avatar or not. god, i love them both so much!!! i think avatar had more flaws though, all saints day was a perfect film! along with sherlock holmes ofcourse!

    PatCourtney, I do hear what you're saying. An awesome film like this will surely be hard to top, especially since Duffy hasn't really done much of anything since the first. Still...... I LOVED the first so much and I just want to see more and see where they go from here. Bring on All Saints Day!!!!!

    If you honestly did not like Boondock Saints, you must have a terrible taste in movies. No wonder why everyone is bitching about remakes and/or sequels. It's apparant that now is the time for both so why not? I would rather watch an old sh*tty looking movie turn into a nice looking movie. I do have standards sorry. I mean Boondock wasn't "sh*tty looking" but I mean it's definitely a time piece. Think of the production value the director can get now from all the good vibe and talk about the first film. I bet Sony as like 'umm f*ck yeah!' when he brought it up to them. It's like saying 'hey I want to make another Ghostbusters' to Sony (even though they don't have the rights but still they would say yes it's a cash cow waiting to happen). The next 2 years has the best movies coming out I don't even know what to do with myself haha. Rock on.
