Daniel Craig to perform stunts on a freight train for Bond 23
The director was ready to shoot this set piece in India early next year, but the local railways have not yet given him permission to block the tracks for what could be a week's time.
Sam Mendes was going to shoot in Ahmedabad and Goa, but now there is talk of moving the production to South Africa. Pravesh Sahni will oversee the India side of shooting for Take One Productions. This is what he had to say about the train set piece planned for Bond 23.
"This could be one of the biggest Hollywood movies shot in our country. Trains are the backbone of the film. We'll pay for the shooting and also mention Indian Railways in the credit line. The shooting was supposed to happen in October-November. Now, we've postponed it to January-February. For the past three months, we've been trying to get things in order. The film has Daniel Craig doing stunts on a freight train. While the Indian Railways has given us permission to shoot, I need to meet someone and explain how important it is for us to block two tracks for eight hours a day over five to six days. For the past 15 days, I've been trying to get someone to hear me out. South African authorities are waiting to provide everything that is required to support this movie. If we can't get this cooperation from India, the film will no longer be shot here."
Skyfall was released November 9th, 2012 and stars Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw. The film is directed by Sam Mendes.

@daveactor7 Watch it back to back with Casino Royale as one BIG movie and it actually flows a lot better. I was underwhelmed when I saw it in theaters, but completely changed my mind with a blu-ray double feature.

I wished this movie wasn't going to include the now stereo typed actor Ralph Fiennes in which he'll play yet another demented bad guy. He's so f*cking goddamned annoying anymore!

Great stunts are part of the film history of Bond. Hopefully, this one will live up to its predecessors.

Sounds exciting, lets just hope the execution is interesting (unlike a handful of scenes in QOS)

Sweet. I love Daniel Craigs Bond films. I have a feeling though that it might not make it's November release date, unless it starts filming VERY soon!
