Bond 22 Goes Into Production January 3rd

MI6 is reporting that Bond 22 is set to start shooting this coming Thursday, January 3rd, 2008. Director Marc Forster confirmed the date in an earlier interview.

Forster went on to say that Craig's interpretation of Bond will pick up where the character left off in Casino Royale. The film will be more of a journey into the inner being than it will be about globe hopping around the world. Forster stated, "When Bond began in the Connery days, travel was a luxury not everyone could afford. Today, the world has become smaller. If Bond goes to a beach with palm trees it's almost banal now. The only interesting trip remains the journey inwards, deep in to the psyche".

The film will be released November 7th, 2008.

Quantum of Solace was released November 14th, 2008 and stars Daniel Craig, Olga Kurylenko, Mathieu Amalric, Judi Dench, Giancarlo Giannini, Gemma Arterton, Jeffrey Wright, David Harbour. The film is directed by Marc Forster.

Pierce brosnan was my fav bond and still is, i think casino royale was a james bond movie gone terribly wrong. Most of the movie he was playing poker and their wasnt even a fight scene between him and the bad guy. So to be honest im hardly looking forward to the next one if its gonna be something like that.

Highest grossing of course. It's called ticket prices going from a buck to over $10 a ticket.I don't put much on that. They should go by tickets sold, not money made.I didn't hate casino royale.Just didn't think much of it.Was ok but kinda blah in my opinion.Never had anything negative to say about Craig before it came out.But i never want bond to die so keep them coming.lol..I'll always watch them.

I always liked Roger Moore. My 2nd favorite was Pierce Brosnan, but now Daniel Craig has taken over both of them! My Favorite Daniel Craig film is: "Layer Cake"!!
The most laughable Bond was Timothy Dalton!

    The Best Bond Films:
"Dr. No", "Goldfinger", "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", "Moonraker", "For Your Eyes Ony", "GoldenEye", "Die Another Day" & "Casino Royale"!

I thought Casino Royale was a great Bond movie.
It's simply one of the best.
    and Daniel Craig kicked ass!

It's funny how for a year before that movie was released, all people ever talked about was complaining about how blonde the new bond was instead of giving him a chance.

Now he's proven them wrong and with this second movie directed by the awesome Marc Forster, it's gonna be like never before!

"Casino Royale" W./Daniel Craig rocked! For once in the history of Bond films did a Bond film come close to how Ian Fleming wrote the books! ("Casino Royale" was based on the 1953 book).
"Casino Royale" established a new timeline and narrative framework not meant to precede any previous film which was great! This not only frees the Bond franchise from more than forty years of continuity, but allows the film to show a less experienced and more vulnerable Bond! The film was set at the beginning of James Bond's career as Agent 007, having earned his licence to kill.
"Casino Royale" is the highest grossing James Bond film to date, the 38th highest-grossing film of all time, and the 6th highest grossing film of all time in the United Kingdom.

I didn't like casino royale that much unless we're talking about the comedy.I grew up on james bond and connery will always be the best.Just because they make a film more violent doesn't make it better.Seems the more violent(or as people call it "dark") a movie gets nowadays the more people think it's good.If you're alive and kicking the movie should be made for you.

Roger Moore was suave & arrogant. One of the things that gets Roger Moore singled out is he didn't take the character seriously! Brosnan brought a lot of seriousness and drama to Bond; but Daniel Craig comes as close to what Ian Fleming invisioned! Daniel Craig is everything Bond: suave, sophisticated & arrogant etc! He is the best Bond out of the whole film series! More of a rouge!
I see Craig as the saviour of the franchise, a Bond for a new generation!
    Timothy Dalton was laughable!

That sounds real interesting, going into Bond's psyche. That part was seemingly almost neglected in the earlier films so it will be interesting to see how they portray that aspect.

yea they won't keep the title "Bond 22" haha, but no craig is an amazing bond.. the opening chase scene in Casino Royale kicked ass.. you didn't see sean or pierce doing any of that, I am hoping they bring in a sweet car scene in this one, the destruction and short life of the DB9 was pretty depressing..

    With Craig as Bond,
This franchise now kicks major ass!

I wonder if they're gonna stick with this BOND 22 working title or if they're gonna come up with an another more official title.

And whatever happen to the plan of having a Latina as a Bond Girl?
That's gonna make it even better
