The Associated Press has reported that Russell Crowe is shooting the new thriller Body of Lies in Annapolis. This will mark his forth time collaborating with the film's director Ridley Scott.

The production will stretch through most of September. On Friday, Crowe shot two scenes at St. Andrew's United Methodist Day School. Baltimore is being used as a stand in for Manchester, England, and Munich, Germany. Later in the month, shooting will move to Morocco.

Crowe will play Ed Hoffman, the manipulative CIA boss who teams with operative Roger Ferris (Leo DiCaprio) to trap a dangerous Al Qaeda leader by planting a false rumor that the bomber is in cahoots with the Americans. The film will be released sometime in 2009.

Body of Lies was released October 10th, 2008 and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, Mark Strong, Golshifteh Farahani, Oscar Isaac, Ali Suliman, Alon Aboutboul, Vince Colosimo. The film is directed by Ridley Scott.
