In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Blake Lively has joined the cast of The Town. Chris Cooper might also be joining the cast.

Ben Affleck is directing this film for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.

Currently cast in this film are Affleck, Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall and Jeremy Renner. It is an adaptation of Chuck Hogan's novel Prince of Thieves.

In the film Affleck plays a career thief who becomes smitten by the manager of a bank.

Lively will be playing Renner's sister and Affleck's ex-girlfriend. Should Cooper join the cast, he will be Affleck's father.

The film will begin shooting next month in Boston.

The Town was released September 17th, 2010 and stars Ben Affleck, Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, Blake Lively, Slaine, Owen Burke, Titus Welliver. The film is directed by Ben Affleck.
