Blake Lively has been offered the female lead in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
We reported back in June that The Amazing Spider-Man star Emma Stone was offered the role of Elizabeth Bennet, although she has since declined the offer. Other actresses such as Natalie Portman, Mia Wasikowska, and Scarlett Johansson were previously mentioned for the part. It is not known yet if Blake Lively will accept the offer, but insiders claim she has met with director Craig Gillespie.
Seth Grahame-Smith wrote the screenplay based on his own novel of the same name, which puts a zombie spin on Jane Austen's classic novel. It is not known when production will begin on Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
