Blake Lively joins Ellen Burstyn in The Age of Adaline
The story centers on a 29-year-old woman who stops aging after recovering from an accident which nearly killed her. She embarks on a worldwide journey throughout the 20th Century, keeping her secret intact until she meets the man of her dreams.
Lee Toland Krieger (Celeste and Jesse Forever) is directing from a screenplay by J. Mills Goodloe and Salvador Paskowitz. Lakeshore's Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi are producing alongside Sidney Kimmel. Production is scheduled to begin in March.
Here's what Lionsgate co-presidents Robert Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger had to say in a statement.
"We searched for the ideal director and stars. We believe that we have found them with Lee Toland Krieger, Blake Lively and Ellen Burstyn , and together they will tell the story of Adaline in a way that audiences won't forget."
The project once had Katherine Heigl attached to star, with Andy Tennant directing.
