Blair Underwood joins The Event
A new NBC pilot has found their new commander-in-chief. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Blair Underwood has signed on to star in the pilot The Event.

Underwood joins Jason Ritter in the cast as the two main leads. The series will revolve around Ritter's character, an everyman who finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy to assassinate the President of the United States (Underwood).

Nick Wauters wrote the pilot, which was originally conceived years ago before Barack Obama's 2008 Presidential election. Wauters' original President was described as, "a poised Hispanic JFK."
