Bill Nighy and Shane Brolly Returning for Underworld 3?

According to a recent rumor over at Bloody-Disgusting, Bill Nighy will return as Viktor and Shane Brolly as Kraven in Underworld 3: The Rise of the Lycans.

They join the previously announced Michael Sheen and Rhona Mitra in the film being directed by special-effects guru Patrick Tatopoulos.

Sony Screen will theatrically release the prequel which is set in the Dark Ages and traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires and their one-time werewolf slaves, the Lycans.

The site reports that production will begin mid-January in Auckland, New Zealand.

Underworld 3: The Rise of The Lycans was released January 23rd, 2009 and stars Michael Sheen, Bill Nighy, Rhona Mitra, Steven Mackintosh, Kevin Grevioux, David Aston, Geraldine Brophy, Leighton Cardno. The film is directed by Patrick Tatopoulos.

    Really liked the first 2 Underworld movies, looking really forward to this. Kate B will be a loss, but she's not a must for me to watch the film. Like these Dark Age horror films. Done right, the atmosphere of this type of Gothic horror is brilliantly tense and gritty.

    this will be good. maybe she will be init. they havent said alot about this film and so far it doesnt say anything about her not being in it. Kate was around for these battles some as we all saw in the first 2, particularly in the second where you see her family get killed. Even if she isnt this is an origin story from the way im taaking it and she wouldnt be involved. But if she isnt she would still be missed as she did a superior job with the role of seline

    I DO HOPE IT'S AS INTRESTING AS THE FIRST UNDERWORLD...I WANT TO SEE WHO TAKES OVER...THE LYCANS OR THE VAMPIRES??? I GUESS WHICH OF THESE TWO IS A THE BETTER EVIL IS THE QUESTION!!! BUT I ALSO AGREE THAT KATE HAS TO BE IN THIS AS WELL...OTHERWISE I AM NOT EVEN GOING TO WATCH IT LOL!!

    The movie is actually rumored to be the prequel to the first one. The time before Selene. It's supposed to be about how the war between the Vampires and Lycans began. The beginings of the relationship between Lucian (Michael Sheen) and Sonja (Rhona Mitra) and probably the council. There will probably be even more on the history of Marcus and William and William's imprisonment where we first meet Selene as a young girl. I think it at lest has some potential for a great remake.

    Kate Beckinsale made this movie, without her, they are gonna have a large void to fill.. the first underworld was amazing, however the second was lacking in an advanced storyline.. should a 3rd be made I will surely see it, the idea behind "underworld" still intrigues me
