Bill Birch and Geoff Johns to Write Shazam
According to The Hollywood Reporter Warner Bros. and DC Comics have picked Bill Birch to write Shazam!. The film features none other than Captain Marvel.

Co-writing with Birch will be Geoff Johns (Blade: The Series).

The story of Shazam! follows Billy Batson, a teenager who turns into Captain Marvel whenever he says the magic word "Shazam!" It seems that "the name is an acronym for six gods and heroes of the ancient world as well as their attributes: the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Aries, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury."

The film had initially been set up at New Line. Some of the writers taking a stab at it were William Goldman, Bryan Goluboff, Joel Cohen, Alec Sokolow and John August

Directing and producing the project is Peter Segal.

Black Adam's gotten cooler over the years, Fallen.

You should read "52." It's out in trade paperback now...four volumes, each with 13 issues. Adam's one of the main characters.

Well besides having a huge assortment of powers to use at his disposal. Destroying a whole country and beating the crap out of half of the characters in DC Universe as well as having a hot wife named Isis, I think Black Adam could not ask for anything else lol

I could have sworn I read about this 2 years ago. The MTV article mentioned that Dwayne Johnson was being sought after to play the villain.

Wasn't that a Shaquille O'Neal movie? No that was Kazaam. No it was the catch phrase of Jimmy JJ Walker. Shaaaaazaaam! No it's that cleaning product. No that's Kaboom.

Just kidding guys. It was a cool movie in the '70s though, that I used to watch as a kid. It was on of my favorites along with Wonderbug(crap, I just gave away my age). Yeah I know. Wonderbug is corny. I was still a pup. It was cool then. I still wouldn't mind having Wonderbug on DVD though. AH, the seventies were so simple.

    This should be cool.

  13. The Narrator: The Better Man

I liked the idea of him, but hated the character. Always a gooy too shoe, and at times a bit freaky. Hope the movies good.

Sidetrack: If it was between him from DC, and Sentry from Marvel, who would you think would win?

My vote: Sentry hands down. ;)

I'm actually REALLY excited for this. He was always one of my favorite characters. If Geoff Johns is involved, I'm happy.
