Superstar diva Beyonce Knowles is set to portray Etta James in Darnell Martin's Cadillac Records. According to Blackfilm, Beyonce will co-star with Adrien Brody, Jeffery Wright and Cedric the Entertainer.

Set in the fifties, Cadillac Records is a film about Leonard Chess (Brody), the heroic founder of the legendary blues label, Chess Records. With Beyonce cast to portray Etta James, Cedric the Entertainer will star as Willy Dixon and Wright will star as Muddy Waters.

Cadillac Records has been slated for a late 2008 release date.

Cadillac Records was released December 5th, 2008 and stars Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright, Gabrielle Union, Columbus Short, Cedric the Entertainer, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Eamonn Walker, Yasiin Bey. The film is directed by Darnell Martin.
