Beyonce Knowles leaves Clint Eastwood's A Star is Born remake
The singer/actress has been attached to the project for over a year, although the musical remake hasn't had much luck in finding a male lead to star alongside her. Insiders say that Beyoncé Knowles' schedule is too packed as it stands, and since the studio has not issued a production start date yet, she was forced to step away.
Ironically, the production was forced to delay shooting last August when Beyoncé Knowles became pregnant. Production was originally scheduled to begin in February 2012, although the extra time still didn't help in finding a leading man. A-list actors such as Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Will Smith were approached to star, but deals were never solidified.
Clint Eastwood is directing from a screenplay by Will Fetters. The director has shown interest in Bradley Cooper for the male lead, although no official offer has been issued yet. The story centers on a rising singer who falls for an aging artist.
A Star Is Born comes to theaters in 2013. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood.

I just dont know about this. As @ejk1 mentioned, there are enough versions of this film and some of those were brilliant...others not so much.
