Benjamin Bratt has just signed on to star in the A&E network series drama The Cleaner. According to Variety, the new drama will be the first scripted original series that A&E has had in more than six years.

A&E is also considering picking up The Beast starring Patrick Sawyze as an unorthodox FBI undercover agent and Under from Fox TV Studios, starring Henry Thomas as a reformed criminal who becomes a New York cop but has to deal with the seedy life he left behind.

The A&E network has scheduled to air The Cleaner next summer.
