According to Variety, Beau Bridges and Shaheen Khan (Bend It Like Beckham) will appear in romantic comedy Americanizing Shelly, a Hollywood-made Bollywood-style pic from new production company American Pride Films Group.

The pic will be a helmed by TV vet Lorraine Senna ("The Sopranos").

Naomi Cooper will produce with American Price CEO Joe Cooper and Natasha Gill executive producing. Pooja Gujral will serve as the film's Mumbai unit director.

The film is set in Los Angeles where a wanna-be Hollywood talent manager sets out to Americanize an Indian girl from the Himalayas.
