Darren Lemke will write the comic book adaptation Beasts of Burden
We first reported on this project a few weeks ago, when producer Andrew Adamson came on board, along with Aron Warner and Dark Horse Entertainment's Mike Richardson. Darren Lemke will adapt the script from the Dark Horse Comics series created by Evan Dorkin and Jill Thompson.
Beasts of Burden is set in the town of Burden Hill, and centers on a group of dogs, and one cat, who team up to protect their owners after bizarre supernatural events take place in town.
The visual effects house Reel FX is producing Beasts of Burden, which will be a CGI-animated movie. No production schedule was given at this time.
Beasts of Burden comes to theaters in 2013.
