Be Cool Tops DVD Charts

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Be Cool might have had a ho-hum run at the boxoffice ($55.8 million domestic gross), but the belated Get Shorty sequel shot to the top of VideoScan's First Alert sales chart its first week in stores.

The MGM comedy, featuring John Travolta, booted Paramount's Chappelle's Show: Season 2 Uncensored from the top spot on the preliminary national video sales chart for the week ending June 12, where it had reigned at No. 1 for two weeks. Chappelle fever continued to rage so strongly, however, that the sketch comedy package narrowly outsold another eagerly anticipated TV-DVD release, HBO's The Sopranos - The Complete Fifth Season, which arrived in stores June 7 with a hefty $99.98 price tag, three times higher than that of Chappelle.
