Batwing Suffers Major Accident On Set of The Dark Knight Rises!

There has been another major accident on the Pittsburgh set of The Dark Knight Rises. While shooting this Saturday, August 13, the Batwing, a new air vehicle that will be seen in the movie, went off course during filming and hit a huge street lamp, which demolished the entire right side of the craft. According to reports, Christopher Nolan only has one Batwing to work with. It took a large crew more than an hour to fix the damage done to the Batwing, and they reshot the same scene a second time without the crash. No actors or IMAX cameras were hurt in this incident. Check out the damage in the pics below.

@kingbrady lol detecting sarcasm isn't as easy if it isn't blatant online.
It's all the public filming they have to do that is allowing so much fan-filming. They can't really do much about that.
I just, don't watch any of the videos and what not. But even knowing all of this stuff is getting out, I'm still just as damn excited to see it as I was when The Dark Knight's credits rolled.

@christina-montana glad you can detect sarcasm lol, The Dark Knight was hush hush and this they showing every thing...whole reason it made $500+ million was the anticipation of the film...there is none with this

@superman81 Picture this: whatever is going on in the scene they're filming would take place during a cloudy snowy day with fairly visible lighting (put it simpler terms, evening time) and that's the time of day this will take place. how does that sound?

  9. Superman81

@ghostman I agree with you. It would be cool. But they have it snowing and its going to be cloudy looking if not full om night time. So it won't be the full on sunny daytime look some people keep bringing up.

@superman81 I'd actually prefer this to be a day shot, rather than a night shot on film. I know TDK had a lot of day shots in it, and while filming BB, they shot film during the day and of course, majority of the first film is taken place during the night. But this scene would look awesome during the day.

i am still waiting on a trailer...a real trailer not some 30 second teaser. i just hope that batwing will be used to kill bane and catwoman off.

i think the reason why they are letting some much out is because of the movies that are coming out for 2012 like the avengers, the amazing spiderman, battleship, gijoe 2, kick ass 2 and more. there is a lot of companion and i think dark knight is worry that some of the comic book films will take the money away from them

  22. ChristinaM15

@kingbrady that's not true because you still don't know how the story will play out. We've only seen a few things and these things don't really hurt. I'm still upset they are letting so much sh*t out though

@superman81 "I don't understand why people keep saying, " why is Batman out in bright day light?" They are going to make this a night shot" - I dont understand how the hell you came to know that this is going to be a night shot? - dont assume crap!!

  24. Superman81

I don't understand why people keep saying, " why is Batman out in bright day light?" They are going to make this a night shot. It's easier to film during the day for production then add the night time effects later. These won't be day time scenes.
