For years, there have been documented cases of UFO sightings around the world - Buenos Aires, Seoul, France, Germany, China. But in 2011, what were once just sightings will become a terrifying reality when Earth is attacked by unknown forces. As people everywhere watch the world's great cities fall, Los Angeles becomes the last stand for mankind in a battle no one expected. It's up to a Marine staff sergeant (Aaron Eckhart) and his new platoon to draw a line in the sand as they take on an enemy unlike any they've ever encountered before.

Battle: Los Angeles was released March 11th, 2011 and stars Aaron Eckhart, Ramon Rodriguez, Cory Hardrict, Gino Anthony Pesi, Ne-Yo, James Hiroyuki Liao, Bridget Moynahan, Noel Fisher. The film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman.

I dont really want that to be the case but it wont stop me from seeing the movie.

@dan1 If this is the clip they released i have a feeling that at least most of the action will be that shaky, head camera type action. At least until they get a good reveal of the aliens anyway.

I really can't talk, though, since I didn't serve like you did.

@skywise No, I got what you meant by the confusion and all that, it's called an "ambush" for a reason, meaning you don't know what the f*ck is going on immediately, but that doesn't mean the camerawork has to be jarring and hard to follow. Black Hawk Down did it just fine, I was able to follow everything in that movie.

Who knows, maybe it's just that small bit in the movie that it's like that, we'll see.

...and yes to answer your question it kind of DOES feel like sh*tty camera work.

@dan1 hmmm i suppose my point was missed. I was trying to express the level of confusion and frustration that occurs. However, i understand that this is a movie and in no way do we want it to represent real life....especially if aliens are invading!

It feels like a bunch of sh*tty camerawork when you're ambushed? @skywise

i am not a huge fan of shaky camera either but if it is done right it can be a good thing.

@dan1 LOL you didn't like that? That is exactly what it feels like to be ambushed. I never liked that either.

@bawnian-dexeus well i hope you are right. like i said before i hope its a good film, but usually when a movie studio releases any film whatsoever this time of the year it sucks. the studios wait till the summer or late spring for their bigtime movies and wait till thanksgiving-christmas time for the critically acclaimed films. everything in-between is crap-- most of the time at least. but i have to admit at least the trailers for this film looks sweet

It seemed pretty chaotic with the camera work. I had a hard time following who was doing what when the combat started. Didn't like that.
