Barry Levinson Is Going for A Walk in the Woods

Barry Levinson is in negotiations to direct A Walk in the Woods, a best-selling travelogue by Bill Bryson. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Redford is set to star in and produce A Walk in the Woods, which is being co-produced by Jason Eberts.

A Walk in the Woods is a story about two men who attempt to journey across the 2,100-mile Appalachian Trail and get much more than they bargained for. Casting for the role opposite Redford has not been announced, but at one point it was rumored to be Paul Newman.

There is no word on when production for A Walk in the Woods will begin.

A Walk in the Woods was released in 2009 and stars Patrick Brennan, Harry Haynes, Pamela Okoroafor. The film is directed by Sam Small.
