No False Metal! Marcus Nispel (Friday the 13th, Conan the Barbarian) is returning to the horror genre, having signed onto direct Backmask for producer Steven Schneider (Insidious, Paranormal Activity). Here's a plot description for the horror tale below.

"During a sex, drugs, and rock-fueled party, six small-town teenagers find an old vintage record and decide to play it backwards in order to listen for any subliminal/satanic messages. Lo and behold, a seemingly malevolent spirit quickly infiltrates the group, wreaking havoc as it moves from one body to another. Eventually, however, it's revealed that the spirit in question is actually trying to convey a message....and that the real source of horror isn't particularly paranormal, but rather something (or someone) much closer to home."

Kirsten Elms is writing the screenplay for Backmask, which will be produced by Voltage Pictures along with Steven Schneider, Marcus Nispel, Paris Kasidokostas Latsis, and Terry Douglas.

Production is slated to begin on July 13.

It sounds a little generic but i have faith in Nispel, he has done some great horror movies (i know that is arguable but i have liked them all) not to mention the bad asslooking Conan (again arguable - just my opinion). I will definatly see this just because his name is attached.
