Cameron says Avatar 2 release date will be announced soon
Cameron, who was in South Korea to talk about 3D technology at the Seoul Digital Forum, said that the release date for Avatar 2 should be announced in the next few months.
We reported last month that Avatar 2 would likely delve into the vast oceans of Pandora. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further details on Avatar 2 as soon as we have more information. Avatar has earned a record-breaking $2.71 billion at the global box office and they have sold nearly 20 million copies of the DVD thus far.
Avatar 2 comes to theaters in 2014. The film is directed by James Cameron.

@deadjedi - agreed. i understand people hate it. fine great lets cry about it. the movie made enough that even if it is the worst movie ever, which i happen to still be a fan of and enjoyed it, there would be a sequel. plain and simple. "OMG he stole all these ideas" guess what people - that is hollywood. no matter what movie you make it treads on a movie that has happened before. thats just how it goes. I still dont see how people didnt like Salvation either. But each their own.

this could be good and i agree with some of you, i would really like him to tackle another Terminater film, i think with how he has grown vastly over the years as a director he could bring the series back to a respectable foundation

What the plot synopsis should be: after the events of the first movie, the humans decide to stopping dorking around and simply nuke Pandora from space, thus not having to worry about fighting the ten-foot cat-smurfs with their knife-wielding mechs
