Avatar Reaches $700 Million Worldwide in 12 Days

James Cameron's Avatar has pulled in another $18.29 million Tuesday which pushes its domestic total to an whopping $250.4 million after just 12 days in the box office.

The $18.29 million is an increase over last Tuesday's $16.1 million and both numbers trail only The Dark Knight's $20.9 million on the all-time non-opening Tuesday list.

Internationally, the blockbuster has reached $476.2 million as of the 29th for a combined worldwide total of $726.6 million! Percentage-wise, the domestic take is 34.5% and the international take is 65.6% of that massive total.

Avatar was released December 18th, 2009 and stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Joel Moore, Giovanni Ribisi, Michelle Rodriguez, Laz Alonso. The film is directed by James Cameron.

    I did some checking with my studio execs in the know and AVATAR, thus far, has made $352 in profits. That's not $352 million. It's $352!!

    At least it is in profit land. The exec said it should top out at $3,000.

    Lol. Well I honestly don&#699t think it will beat Return of The Ring or Dead Man&#699s Chest let alone Titanic. As Cell said below it was a slow and steady ride which grew higher and maintained a paste like Avaar is now but less spur of the moment. This movie will not sty in theaters for 10 months and continue to make money like titanic. but it might bet TDK.

    Btw I always go by worldwide not us, because we&#699re not the only ones that matter folks. ;)
