The rights to the Ubisoft video game, Cold Fear have been aquired by Avatar Films and Sekretagent Productions for a feature film.

The two companies are looking for a director before trying to sell the movie to studios, reports Variety. The video game follows a Coast Guard Officer trying to reconnect with his daughter on a whaling ship infested with aliens.

There is no proudction scheduled for the Cold Fear film; the video game is in stores now.
