@bawnian-dexeus well i wouldn't say that, unlike Lucas, Cameron is actually still creative

Guys, @felipe-11 is right. This isn't milking on Cameron's part, it's Avatar news overkill on the internet's part. All this is is an iTunes release that contains some of the features the Blu-ray offers. THAT'S IT! No need for complaining.

Do people even buy movies on itunes? because i sure as hell dont, i buy em on dvd or bluray, so i can watch on a big screen tv, not on alil 3.5 inc screen, or ipad. And even if most of u are always on the go, Thats why sum movies come as digital copies. So you can upload em onto ur pc/devices. and 90% of people i know, dontr even bother looking at the extras such as the making of the film or commentary(s). There4 i dont see why people dont just buy the real films rather than buying the downloads, Think about it, If ur pc ever crash, all of that movie, or music, r gone, And if u buy em on bluray/dvd, you can always watch it because that is urs to keep for life! DAMN people think!, lol jp.

I think this article is very misleading. This is gonna be the same as the Collector's Blu-ray, but with the option to switch to the relevant extra features (which are already on Blu-ray) directly from the movie. You can already watch the whole movie on all 3 "deconstructed" fases on the Blu-ray.

This is just a cool way to add special features onto iTunes movies instead of making people pay for the movie bare-bones, stop hating. If you already have the Collector's BD you're not missing out on anything, this isn't milking...

Come on. He needs to stop milking this movie to death. I'm starting to hate it. I wanna hear more on the sequels...not a film that released two years ago. He focuses more on his two-classics than anything else.

@incmob Ofcourse it's about money. It's not everyday you get a new franchise that has the potential of boosting the stocks up skyhigh. When you have something like Avatar, you use it to the max. Squeeze every single penny out..

If i were james, or a director for that matter, i wouldnt be re-releasing such film in order to make money out of lil clips in which they could have been added to such extended version or boxsets,
Following lucus's starwars footsteps is NOT the way to go. If im making part2 of avatar, i would have just made 1 or 2 versions of this film on dvd/blu ray and then leave it alone, When the new film comes out, i would put avatar 1 more time in theaters in that very same special edition version, so that people will remember where that1 left off. or maybe do 1 of those "go watch my special edition of AVATAR and get a free ticket for avatar2" but not be coming out with random versions of the same film every 6 months, ur throwing money away, making crappy dvds that people r not gonna buy, Lets face it, AVATAR is a great movie, its unforgetable, people will remember this movie 20-30yrs from now, You dont need to remind them what avatar is.

Man i paid good money for that box set which includes all 3 versions of the films . Why couldnt they just add e all these parts to 1 of those films, I love all of these footages that show em flying mid air, the view, landscape, all these wonderful colors look kool. and should have been added in the box set or in the deleted section, I have no plans on buying another version of this SORRY JAMES, I'll be waiting for avatar 2 tho. and 3 !

  13. incmob

i think it is milking it, but perhaps fox and cameron are trying to keep it in the public eye to make way for avatar 2. not sure why they would need to but this seems like overkill, so would be my only conclusion why there are so many different versions and editions coming out.

or... it could just be about money... ching

I enjoyed the movie but god damn they are milking the sh*t out of it. It's already the highest grossing movie of all time so there is really nothing else to prove. Just cut it out already Cameron and Fox. It's annoying.

James Cameron is a Money-Sucking whor*. You would think he would've included these "special edition" features in one of his three seperate blu-ray releases (Counting the inevitable 3D Avatar edition). Ridiculous.

Waste of money. Cool features, but they should have released this from the start if they were going to.
