Avatar Blu-ray Breaks Records!
Early estimates are indicating that the Avatar Blu-ray has already sold more than 1.5 million copies today and combined DVD and Blu-ray sales were said to be north of 4 million total units sold, making it the easy favorite to be the top-selling release of the year.
It was said that retailers sold out roughly 60% of their Avatar Blu-ray stock already, with merchants also selling 50% of the DVD stock today.

I got it too .... Fry's Home Electronics was sold out and the sales guy told me to come back "NEXT" wed ....whatever ...I got the Blu-ray /DVD combo pack cheaper at Walmart!!!

yes, there is quite a difference though of the dark knight and avatar blu ray. all the blu ray of avatar include the dvd as well... although that is sold seperately, it is practically the same price. alot of people who only have dvd, are future proofing with blu ray, where as dark knight was seperate, i bet had the dark knight been in 3d as well, avatar would not have come close to what the dark knight might have made in theatres.
