David Cross says Arrested Development is a Won't Happen
When we spoke to actor Will Arnett back in January, he was confident that the long-awaited Arrested Development film would start shooting later this year and now another actor doesn't seem quite so confident. TV Squad recently spoke to actor David Cross, who bluntly told the site, "It's not going to happen." Here's an excerpt from the site's article.

"Way too much time it's been (since the show ended)," he told me. "I mean, there's so many people involved. Everyone's doing their own thing, you know. And everybody's aged. It's just not going to happen. I'm sure I speak for everybody when I say we'd love for it to happen, we'd love to work on it, but just I don't think... not going to happen."

Arrested Development is in development and stars Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Liza Minnelli, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor.

    i can't take this teasing anymore, my heart really can't take it. it's either happening or it's not. i hope nobody is holding out again. i understand everyone is working on other projects right now and some careers became bigger than others, but come on Tobias! i just wish this could be top priority for everyone.

    Rampant conjecture is par for the course, but, with such a large ensemble cast, that's a real concern...if the producers throw out some real money, I'm sure Bateman & Cera will be on board. I mean, Jason isn't doing Extract2...but, he's doing Hanc*ck2, so...I'd say it'll happen.

    I think this will happen ... but they need to keep all the actors informed. It sounds like a few are confident and the others are sort of just sitting around wondering if it is going to happen or not. I won't be happy until people are signed!

    I take Will Arnett and Jason Bateman's positive responses to this film over Cross's any day! This WILL happen! Bateman pretty much confirmed it earlier this year... Cross is probably just being kept out the loop for now
