@skywise Dwane Johnson in a comic book like movie? Hmmm and well, yeah it looked Like Zim, but yeah the artwork seems sloppy, but I think that was probably purposful for the type of genre Johnny seems to be.
and, @mcleve02 and @skywise , if you guys make a list i'll at least google them!

@crypt Yeah man... take our suggestions! There is a lot of fun in those stories that I know your twisted mind will love!

@crypt I remeber that you buy everything.
Your right, it does have that Invader Zim look. IMO opinion the artwork is not that great but it is different. I read a lot of comics, the typical hero stuff so when I come across the ones that look and feel different and tell stories that are...unusual I always check em out. Check out the artwork for Moonshadow and Lore (which they are making a movie out of....with Dwayne Johnson - siiiighhhh) Both awesome books with awesome stories.

@skywise Wait, remember i buy everything or my laptop is slow? haha its an HP mini, i use it for screenwriting mostly.
anyhowtheyre graphic novles? aw that sucks, cause they'll be like $10. haha i was expecting to spend a dollar or two on a short ass comic. i googled Johnny, it looks a lot like Invader Zim, or is it just me?

@crypt oh thats right. I remeber you telling me that. Man memory is short these days.
Picking them up should not be to hard at a comic store. They are graphic novels so they are easier to collect.

@skywise I buy everything in a store. for Johnny would I need issue one before reading another or can i pick up a random one and start reading? I might end up downloading one just to see if i like it though. but i cannot on my laptop, its way to slow and sh*tty.

@crypt do you "obtain" movies or games from the internet? Or do you buy from stores?
I ask because there are several great torrent sites where you can DL issues and see if its something you would like.
But really, The Walking Dead has been one of my favorites and I know I know, everyone is saying that these days but it is really good. Also, that Hellraiser series i mentioned a while back is turning out to be pretty interesting. I am only on issue 4 but its definatly a unique lok at that world.

@bawnian-dexeus hmm I have not read that one. I will have to look it up now.
some of my fav weird ones were the Rachel Pollack Doom Patrol. I am not much of a fan of that seried but the Pollack issues had some weeeeeird sh*t going on.

@crypt There is some really bizarre sh*t out there when it comes to comics. I am a huge fan of art (not to sound pretentious or anything) and some of the books have art that is so unlike what you would expect from a comic. That can help a lot I think, with the mind wandering issue.

@mcleve02 haha I have not, because i have not been shopping at the local comic book store in hellllllla days!

@mcleve02 Oh sh*t dude that sounds great! I have nothing against comics, in fact I have great admiration for comic book "nerds". But I just never really read often. I sound like some dumbass, but I just cannot focus on it; my mind wonders.

THE JOKER
@crypt Oh and you really should read comics, all jokes aside... As @skywise will tell you, not all of them are superhero tales... there are horror comics out there that I know you would love... and knowing you, I would suggest, as far as heroes go, read LOBO... a superhero whom kills Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and has Satan kick him out of hell because he is even too much trouble for him... yeah that is a character that is right down your alley!

@skywise The thing I hate about supernatural horror movies, is that when the big reveal of the killer is portrayed, it becomes a letdown

@skywise yeah, i suppose thats what is wrong with it; its not me; its the sh*t movie. but still, i wanted to try to like FearDotCom cause the story is cool, and the film LOOKS cool, but unfortunately it is a dull cop drama, not a horror film
Boogeyman was alright, and 2 and 3 were good surprisingly. But goddamn, that CGI was sh*t, and made the ending disappointing
9 months agoby @cryptFlag

@crypt you are right, absolutly boring. Not even fun and movies like that should be fun.
I did see Boogeyman, its not bad. i would give it about 5 out of 10 stars.

The Cryptkeeper: Resurrected
@skywise Oh yeah, I mean i hate FearDotCome and HoHH for other reasons also, but like even though they suck for severl reasons, i feel bored with them, which makes no sense, cause i usually like some "bad" movies. Same with Ghost Ship, couldnt get into that one. Anyhow, Yeah, DA may have a low production value, but i appreciate it for what it was trying to do, even if i dont like it. Im more of an Evil Dead kinda guy!
as for CGI in horror... Boogeyman, nuff said! ever see that 2004 Boogeyman? Not talking about the older one(s).
9 months agoby @cryptFlag
skywise
@crypt Oh but God those two movies you mentioned were just awful. I mean really bad.
Of course, aside from my early PJ adoration I was also very young when DA came out so that probably effected the way I originaly felt. I just love the comedy aspect mixed with, arguably one of the goriest movies of all time.
those other 2 are nowhere near the calibur of DA. Maybe their production values were higher but they are so pretentious in their seroiusness and HoHH was really bogged down by awful computer graphics for the finale.
I am not a huge fan of CGI in horror. Of course with ghosts that can be hard, I understand that but its a fine line. A very fine line. That is why I think that it takes a very talented director to make a good horror. there is so much that needs to be roped in to get the proper emotion from the audience and HOHH just shat all over that philosophy.

The Cryptkeeper: Resurrected
@skywise Yep! See, I appreciate the movie cause I do the same thing. My problem with Dead Alive is only that there is something about it that bores me. Some movies are just like that, its so weird. No matter how many times i try to watch them, or how badly i want to like them, my mind wanders. this is the same with FearDotCom and House on Haunted Hill remake. I try to watch and like them, but end up wandering elsewheere in my head
9 months agoby @cryptFlag
skywise
@crypt Well I can understand about Dead Alive, it definatly is not for everyone. I love Peter Jackson's early films though and I might be a bit biased although some of those scenes were awesome. Like the "eating custer" scene or the "I kick ass for the Lord" moment. And who could foget the bizzare lawnmower scene.
I find that the things i love about that move are the same things others hate...but isnt that typical?

@skywise Im not gonna lie, I cannto stand Dead Alive. Never saw Fido, although I am slightly interested, i must say, and as @bawnian-dexeus says, Zombieland was a huge surprise.
