Variety reports that Twentieth Century Fox Television has ordered a second season of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? in first-run syndication.

The game show has been renewed for fall 2010 in the top five markets. Some of them are Tribune's WPIX New York, Fox TV Stations' KTTV/KCOP Los Angeles and Fox's WFLD/WPWR Chicago.

Producers Mark Burnett and Zoo Productions previously produced a primetime version of the game show for Fox.

Twentieth Century Fox TV executive Vice Presdient Paul Franklin credits host Jeff Foxworthy for the "seamless transition" of the show from Fox to syndication.
